Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. Psalm 55:22
We live in interesting times which are providing challenges to our lifestyle, our faith and our relationships. It is a time that requires courageous living and reconnecting with the deep roots of our faith which needed top be anchored in the rock of Christ.
Cuthbert, a Celtic monk and bishop, one of the founders of the monastery at Lindisfarne (an amazing place to visit) found his authority and the changes that he brought in challenged by monks who didn’t want to change. He met these challenges with patience and forbearance, slowly bring the recalcitrant monks to a more godly way of life.
As we meet the challenges of this time with the COVID-19 we need to commit whatever we do to the Lord and pray that He will give us the wisdom and strength to support those around us who are in need.
Let us pray for our church leaders as they strive to ensure that we remain focused on the Lord and are able to bring His peace, compassion and healing to those whom we come in contact.
Godspeed
